Standard EPS sandwich panels feature 16 kg/m³ density, providing 100 kPa compressive resistance ideal for site camps. For heavy snow loads or high-traffic container flooring, 20 kg/m³ high-density block EPS is specified, lowering lambda to 0.033 W/mK.

2. Dead-Load Reduction & Structural Steel Cost Savings

Weighing only 9.8 – 11.0 kg/m², EPS panels cut cladding dead load in half compared to rockwool (20-24 kg/m²). This enables downsized steel columns, truss sections and purlin gauges, saving 15% to 25% on overall structural steel tonnage.

3. Climatic Zones & Thickness Selection per Thermal Codes

Under thermal engineering standards, 40-50mm EPS suffices for temperate coastal zones (Zone 1). Moderate continental zones (Zone 2 & 3) require 50-80mm, while cold continental environments (Zone 4) require 80-100mm to prevent dew point condensation.

4. Site Mobilization, Modular Container & Drywall Assembly

On remote mining and infrastructure jobsites, EPS panels slide into base galvanized U-channels rapidly by hand without mobile crane fees. At project completion, panels can be disassembled and re-erected at new project sites without material degradation.
